The Department of Accounting is the biggest department at the University of Stellenbosch. While mainly specialising in the training of professional accountants, the Department is also actively involved in research and other community services. The outstanding results of students writing professional examinations after obtaining their degree at the Department, underlines the motto of quality training in a productive and relaxed environment.

Structure

The Department is divided into different divisions responsible for the training of the different accountancy professions:

• Accountancy (BAcc)
• Accountancy (BComm)
• Management Accounting
• Taxation
• Auditing
• Information Systems
