The Agronomy Department is involved in several projects for technology transfer and supporting local farmers and society as a whole. It involves lectures at Roodebloem For Plant Information Day and Langegewens "SKOG" day for information about the fertilization of gewassse to commercial and emerging farmers to dra.Verskeie presentations on herbicide resistance in farmers' days and training sessions provided by chemical companies offered, delivered, and weed samples by members of the lanboubedryf be submitted regularly for herbicide resistance getoetsVerskeie kultivarevaluerings and other trials are ongoing for seed, agricultural chemicals and other agricultural companies. This includes trials at the farm and elsewhere in the region. The trials are also at farmers and other public training sessions included in the concept of annual Intensive Argiculture South Africa (IASA) simposuim by greenhouse growers across the country attended. The staff also provides regular (free) guidance to producers and to local learners involved in projects like the Expo for Young Scientists.
