Community interaction
In his capacity as chairperson of the Tree Advisory Committee of the Integrated Development plan for Stellenbosch, Prof. Brian Bredenkamp plays an active role in the conservation and advancement of urban forests in and around Stellenbosch and Franschhoek as wel as other satellite town in the region, with special emphasis on planting trees (e.g. Tree planting week activities) in prevously disadvantaged areas.
