Fakulteit AgriWetenskappe Gholfdag / Faculty of AgriScience’s Golf day

Die Fakulteit het op Donderdag 1 Desember in samewerking met Standard Bank, Pioneer Foods en Farmsecure Holdings ‘n baie suksesvolle gholfdag aangebied by die De Zalze Gholfklub buite Stellenbosch. On the 1st of December the Faculty, in collaboration with Standard Bank, Farmsecure Holdings and Pioneer Foods hosted its annual golf day at the De Zalze Golf Estate. PhD Function

On Thursday the 8th of December the Faculty celebrated along with PhD students, their parents, partners and promotors on receiving their degrees. The PhD students were dr John Simaika (Conservation Ecology), dr Jeanne de Waal (Entomology), dr Piet Swiegers (Animal Sciences), dr Casper Nyamukondiwa (Entomology) en dr Adelle Roux (Animal Sciences). Drs Cawthorn (Food Science), Kehinde (Entomology) and Leygonie (Food Science) were unable to attend. At the same function the Sir William Schlich medal for the best Forestry student and the Hofmeyr Van Schaik medal for the best achievement in Genetics or Plant Breeding were presented to Gerard Lindner and Corneli Smit.
