Registration Terms & Conditions

  1. Access to and attendance at the conference will only be confirmed on receipt of payment.
  2. Payment is due prior to the start of the conference. In the event of there being a limited number of delegates, preference will be given to persons who have paid their registration in full.
  3. An early bird registration must be paid by the closing date of the early bird time period. Failure to pay the early bird fee by such date will be liable for the full registration fee.
  4. An invoice with the Conference bank details will be sent to you within 48 hours of receipt of your registration.
  5. Receipts will only be issued once proof of payment has been received, and once the payment has cleared and been identified in the Conference bank account.
  6. Proof of payment is to be emailed to the Conference Secretary, aef2@sun.ac.za
  7. Please ensure that all payments make clear reference to the delegate being paid for, with their unique invoice number (Name, Surname, Invoice number). Failure to do so could result in your payment not being identified in the bank account and therefore not being receipted.
  8. All payments must be made to The Macromolecular Society of South Africa (MSSA).
  9. Registrations are transferable to delegates who have not yet registered.
  10. Delegates attending from countries outside South Africa are requested to make payment in South African Rands (ZAR) and are responsible to cover the full bank charges. The full delegate registration fee amount invoiced must appear in the conference bank account.
  11. Online registration will close 20 February 2019.

Cancellation Policy

  1. On completion of this application you will be liable for the full amount of the registration fee subject to the cancellation conditions below.
  2. All cancellations must be received in writing by the Conference Secretary (aef2@sun.ac.za).
  3. Registrations cancelled more than 60 days before the event will be refunded 80% of the registration fee.
  4. Registrations cancelled less than 60 but more than 30 days before the event will be refunded 50% of the registration fee.
  5. Registrations cancelled less than 30 days before the event will not be eligible for a refund.
  6. All refunds due will only be issued after the Conference.
  7. The Organizing Committee reserved the right to decline a request for a refund.

Special Requests

All reasonable dietary requests will be catered for. Please indicate your preference on the registration form.

Privay Statement

  1. All information submitted to this website is supplied by you voluntarily.
  2. This information will be used for the following purposes:
    • To process your registration.
    • To process any other transactions requested by you.
    • To inform you of updates.
    • To send you relevant information regarding the Conference.
  3. We do not sell, rent or lease our delegates lists to third parties.
  4. Details of delegates could be made available to sponsors for once off use after the Conference.
  5. MSSA shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of delegates.

Conference Secretariat Liability

The Congress Secretariat has taken all reasonable care in making arrangements for the Social Tours. In the event of unforeseen disruptions, neither the Congress Secretariat nor Bettina Shuttle & Tours can be held responsible for any losses incurred by delegates. The tours list is correct at the time of advertisement, but organizers reserve the right to alter the tours if and when deemed necessary.

The Congress Secretariat acts as an agent only in securing tours and transports, and shall in no event be liable for acts or omissions in the event or injury, damage, loss, accident delay or irregularity of any kind whatsoever during arrangements organized through contractors or by the employees of such contractors. Tours and transportation services are subject to the terms under which they are offered to the general public. Delegates should make their own arrangements with respect to personal insurance. The Congress Secretariat reserves the right to make changes as and when deemed necessary, without prior notice to the parties concerned. All disputes are subject to resolution under South African Law.

All tours and other arrangements are subject to alteration and cancellation at any time without prior notice, due to factors that are outside of the organizers reasonable controle. This will be at the sole and absolute discretion of the organizers. Should such events, such as Force Majeure, render the organizers unable to deliver such service, the organizers shall not be held responsible. The organizers cannot be held responsible for any damages, and or costs, whatsoever arising from any such alteration or cancellation.
