Transport

(For your own account) A 24-hour Shuttle Service is available between Cape Town International Airport and Stellenbosch (distance 35 km).  Please note that the Conference Secretariat cannot arrange transport to and from Cape Town International airport to your guest house/hotel accommodation in Stellenbosch.  Arrangements and payments for transfers are the delegate’s own responsibility.  You can also arrange transport (pick up/drop off from Cape Town International Airport to Stellenbosch) with your guest house/hotel. 

Shuttle Services


From Cape Town or Airport via the N2
  1. From Cape Town or Cape Town International Airport, take the N2, HIGHWAY in the direction of Stellenbosch / Somerset West.
  2. Continue on the N2 until EXIT 33 (BADEN POWELL DRIVE TURN OFF). Turn left towards Stellenbosch and continue on the R310 until the T-junction.
    Pass Spier Estate on your right hand side and carry towards Stellenbosch. At the traffic lights, drive straight through until you get to the next set of traffic lights at the T-junction.
  3. At the T-junction with traffic lights, turn right. After approximately 2.5 kms, you will pass straight through a set of traffic lights with the headquarters of Distell on the right.
  4. At the next set of traffic lights, turn right into Dorp Street. A Shell Garage and vehicle showroom is on the corner.
  5. Continue up Dorp Street, through a set of traffic lights and at the first small, traffic circle in the road, turn left into Meul Street (Mill Street).
  6. At the next traffic circle, turn right into Plein Street. Continue along Plein Street into Van Riebeeck Street passing through 2 four way stops. Pass the University ground on your left and go straightforward throught the next 3 way stop (the Boland College is on your right).
  7. Opposite Boland College, turn left in Marais Street, (if you reach a fork in the road with a willow tree and telephone box you are to far away and missed the left turn into Marais Street).
Street names: Stellenbosch street names are indicated on the curb stones on street corners. The street names are set in black on painted yellow background.
From Paarl via the N1
  1. Travelling along the N1 from Paarl towards Cape Town, take the EXIT for the R304 to Stellenbosch and continue on the R304 for approximately 10 kms. You will enter the town via Bird Street.
  2. Continue along Bird Street passing through five sets of traffic lights.
  3. Continue through the first traffic circle that you reach and at the next one turn left into Plein Street. (Post office is on the left corner). Continue along Plein Street and into Van Riebeeck Street passing through 2 four way stops. Pass the University ground on your left and you will find the Boland College on your right.
  4. Opposite Boland College, turn left in Marais Street, (if you reach a fork in the road with a willow tree and telephone box you are to far away and missed the left turn into Marais Street).

Breakaway 1 & 2

Located at the entrance these breakaway rooms overlook the beautiful gardens of the Wallenberg Centre. The design of these rooms alows for natural light enhancement, with vertical blinds that facilitate total blackout if required. Spacious and sub-divisible, meeting or breakaway rooms varying in size, each accommodating 12 delegates or maximum 32 delegates are set-up in boardroom style with proper conference boardroom tables. Access to power and data connection is available.

Registration Desk

The registration desk in the foyer of the Wallenberg Conference Centre provides a full range of business services, including high-speed internet access, printing facility and photocopy machine. The registration desk is available to all function and conference organisers for the display of conference packages, registration data and general assistance to delegates. The intercom system at the desk enables general announcements to all delegates during their visit to the Centre.

Patio

The Patio has been strategically positioned in the middle of the Conference Centre, where visiting conference delegates can relax outside overlooking the vineyard and Stellenbosch Mountain. Patio furniture and umbrellas are an invitation for guests to enjoy coffee breaks or lunch outside in the breathtaking surroundings.

The library is fully equipped to handle incentive and business groups, board meetings and special events. In addition to the Wallenberg Conference Centre, The Library accommodates executive conferences, workshops & presentations.
