The University of Stellenbosch has accepted a policy for
the assessment and recognition of prior learning (RPL) on which the
Centre currently draws to assess RPL applications. Based on the information
you provide if you do not meet the criteria for acceptance into the
programme, we shall assess your application and let you know about the
outcome as soon as possible.
Phase 1: A comprehensive CV must be submitted so that the "panel" can determine whether
(a) the applicant's qualifications enable him/her to qualify at all
(b) the applicant's work experience and involvement in lifelong learning activities could enhance the application.
The names and contact details of at least three referees must be submitted with this CV.
(Deadline: 31 August )
Phase 2: A portfolio submission in which proof is offered of the following, and adequate justification is given for reasons why the applicant should be considered. It can be classified under the following categories, with the accompanying documentary evidence in a ringbound file. (Deadline: 30 September)

| A reflective point of view | The applicant writes a reflective view based on the foregoing, in which he/she touches on the following:· an analysis of his/her strong points· an analysis of limitations, and how the applicant intends to handle them in the learning programme· motivation/justification for the candidate's admission into the programme on the grounds of prior learning |
