Current research interest
I am currently working on my Ph.D. which aims to use taxonomic and molecular systematics to assess the diversity of Collembola (springtails) in the Fynbos Biome. This project is done in collaboration with Steven Chown (C·I·B, Stellenbosch University), Jan Bengtsson (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala, Sweden), Hans Petter Leinaas (University of Oslo, Norway), Louis Deharveng and Anne Bedos (Museum of Natural History, Paris, France), and Bettine Jansen van Vuuren (C·I·B, Stellenbosch University, South Africa). Also see http://academic.sun.ac.za/cib/collembola for more details.
