The dates for abstract and registration for the AIG7 conference have been extended. Abstract submission is now due on the 15th of April and early-bird registration closes on the 15th of May. The dates have been extended to allow the University of Stellenbosch IT department more time to set up the registration system as the original dates conflicted with electronic student enrollment and registration for the Hutton Symposium being held in July. Any queries can be directed to aig7@sun.ac.za   The conference registration system is now open. Please note, that the system only allows for completion of registration details and not payment of registration fees. The facility for electronic payment of conference and fieldtrip fees will be open towards the end of March, via the University of Stellenbosch electronic payment system. People wishing to participate on the post-conference field trip should register as soon as possible to confirm their place. Note that final places on the fieldtrip are contingent upon payment of field trips fees in a timeous manner. Otherwise the place may be allocated to another person on the waiting list.   Enter the AIG7 Registration System   Problems with Using the AIG7 Registration System Please note that there have been some teething problems associated with the AIG7 registration system. These problems have normally all been related to entries in certain fields exceeding the allowed number of characters. When this occurs, the system rejects the registration with a simple error message when the user hits the submit button. Users should note that when this happens, an error log authomatically is registered with the IT management who then rectify the specific problem. At this stage there have been no more rejected attempts to register on the system since 10 days ago.
