Focus |
This
group focuses its research on the geochemical and tectonic evolution
of the continental crust through time, with a particular emphasis
on the processes in high-grade metamorphism, partial melting, the
production of granitic and basaltic magmas and how these processes
interact with the structural and tectonic evolution of the crust.
The SARChI chair in Experimental Petrology (Prof. Stevens) is affiliated
with this group, and the Experimental Petrology Laboratory represents
a facility unique in the continent. |
