RESEARCH FACILITIES
Geochemistry Laboratories
The environmental geochemistry group has access to a wide range of geochemistry laboratory facilities and equipment housed in the Department of Earth Sciences. These include ATR-FTIR, UV-Vis spectrophotometer, centrifuge, auto-titrator, HPIC for cation and anion analyses, rotovap, incubator-shaker, sonicator and water bath. In addition a new metal free clean (Class-10) laboratory co-funded through DST Southern Ocean Observation program is under construction for specialized work in marine environments and is to be completed shortly. More information is available from the FACILITIES website for the Department

Central Analytical Facility
In addition to in house geochemical laboratories and equipment the environmental geochemistry research group has access to a wide range of facilities through Stellenbosch University. For more information on these facilities refer to the CENTRAL ANALYTICAL FACILITY website. Other facilities are also available through various research collaborations for example with the CSIR and Ithemba Labs. For more information contact Prof Roychoudhury.
