Practicum unit
The Practicum Unit is responsible for the practical components of the training of educational psychologists, counsellors and learning supporters. It takes place both locally and within communities. Services provided include assessment, diagnoses and interventions in the fields of learning and development, support of learning in schools and communities, support of parents and teachers, as well as prevention of psychosocial challenges and the advancement of psychosocial well-being. The Practicum Unit is accredited with the Council for Psychology of the Council of Health Professions in SA (HPCSA) for the training of intern-psychologists. |
