Application information
To give physicians the opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and to equip them to give ultimate care to patients.
The duration of the programme is 2 years.
Maximum self study using modern technology.
Satellite video transmission sessions at the beginning and end of each module which students will attend at electronically linked lecture rooms countrywide.
Practical Training:
One week practical training during the 2-year course (CPD points) at the Medical School/Tygerberg Hospital, Stellenbosch University, Tygerberg, Cape Town.

Module 5: Research Project
A scientific report will be required in the form of a literature review, a case study, or a clinical research project. This part of the course must be done by the candidate in conjunction with a project leader.
Assessment will be by means of exams and assignments.
