Lize de Klerk from Bloemhof Girls’ High School with her mathematical comparative study between disposable nappies and reusable cotton nappies won, in addition to a silver medal, also the Derek Gray Memorial Award, which gave her the opportunity to attend the annual Nobel Prize awards in Sweden later together with 30 other young people from throughout the world.
