SEEDS
Thanks to a unique donor agreement the four universities in the Western Cape, together with five additional education service providers, will be working in close collaboration to develop and support education in the province - from pre-primary support to postgraduate studies.
With funding to the value of R150 million received from the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and working together with the Western Cape Education Department, the SEEDS (Systemic Education and Extramural Development and Support) collaboration will, over the next four years impact on Mathematics and Science teaching and learning, HIV/AIDS education, multi-grade teaching in rural schools, as well as extra-mural education.
