Pythagoras is AMESA's research journal. It reflects the variety of research concerns, the range of research methods employed and the variety of didactical, methodological and pedagogical issues in the teaching of Mathematics at all levels of education. Pythagoras is thus an academic forum for the presentation and critical discussion of current research and developments in Mathematics Education at national as well as international level.
Pythagoras is a peer-reviewed journal, accredited by the SA Department of Education.Articles in Pythagoras are abstracted in Zentralblatt für Didaktik der Mathematik. Pythagoras is published two times a year and distributed to all members of AMESA. Pythagoras is also available online to AMESA members through Sabinet's SA ePublications at
