This is the red ball's formula!
Do the balls move together?
If not, try again!

The blue ball travels at a constant speed, i.e. it covers equal distances every second. Check!
The formula should therefore be linear, in the form x(t) = x0 + vt, where x0 is the start position at time t = 0, and v is the rate of change of distance, i.e. the speed, i.e. the gadient of the function.

Find he position of the blue ball after 20 seconds by using its algebraic formula.
To check your formula, type your formula in the applet above - this will control the red ball, which should then have exactly the same motion as the blue ball.

Where is the blue ball at time t = 20?

Experiment with different values of the parameters - can you make the red ball move from right to left? Can you let it accelerate?
