Hilde Roos
Hilde Roos is a part time lecturer at the Music Department where she teaches Music Journalism and Music History. Music Journalism covers a wide range of topics, such as reviewing for newspapers (including it’s history), the broadcasting of classical music programmes on radio, general music articles for newspapers and magazines as well as interviewing. Ms Roos studied music at the University of Stellenbosch during the 80’s, followed a post graduate Journalism course in 1989 and completed her MMus (cum laude) in 2000. She is currently registered for a DPhil with Dr Stephanus Muller where she is researching the indigenization of opera in South Africa.
