Research Interests:
Soil salinity management, soil and soil solution dynamics, development of specialized soil water measurement techniques for agricultural purposes, GIS and the spatial distribution of soil and soil related variables.

Teaching:

Research Projects:
Land use impacts on salinity in Western Cape Waters (WRC project K5/1849).

Optimized monitoring of groundwater – surface water – atmospheric parameters for enhanced decision making at a local scale (WRC K5/1846).

Hyperspectral remote sensing of salt-affected soils

Gypsum mine rehabilitation: looking at ways to enhance water holding capacity of the soil.
