Vision / Visie

My vision is/ My visie is :

To introduce students to the theology of church polity as well as the principles underlying Reformed church polity/Canon Law.  To teach students to think theologically and systemically as they apply the church polity principles to specific issues at the congregational, presbytery, synod and general assembly levels.

That after completion of the module the student will be able to understand the different systems of church polity   as well as the Church Order of the respective churches in light of its history in the Dutch (continental European) Reformed tradition or Anglican Communion and to distinguish between biblical principles underlying Reformed church polity or Canon Law and to utilize    those principles within a given cultural and historical context.

That Church History and Polity will be recognised as one of the principal choices to further post graduate studies. It will be  achieve  through couching  pre graduate in hermeneutic keys ofchurch polity,  empowering them to develop research proposals    as  well as supervising  them to complete their post graduate research in due time.
