Prof. Allan Boesak serves as the spear researcher on the project. This project is hosted in combination with German Partners (EED) and churches (EKD and URCSA) in the two local context. The project aims to reflect over a three year period on the ACCRA document and the Agape process and then write a response on the ACCRA document. It will be important to voice the viewpoints of the south. Some of you attended some of the ACCRA discussion in Ghana and know perhaps how difficult and important these discussions are. This research period will be spent to learn and listen from other disciplines on concepts such as eg. economics, development, empire, trade etc. Then the challenge will be to write a theological response to ACCRA in the light of the current trends and concepts of globalisation. The panel consists of highly respected people in their fields and the discussion will be chaired by Prof. Boesak. It will definetely be an very interesting time. Please feel welcome to attend and to invite students and friends from other disciplines to participate in this exciting times. (If you do not know any of the concepts or the documents or see how this affects your life - then you are more than welcome) Date: Tuesday: 19 February 2008 Time: 18H00 – 19H30
Panel Discussion: Venue: Murray Hall PLEASE RSVP anlene@sun.ac.za Monday 20th February 16:00
