PRACTICAL THEOLOGY & MISSIOLOGY
Practical Theology and Missiology focuses on the ministry and witness of faith communities. Students are trained to conduct congregational ministries as well as how to be involved in the public sphere to address all forms of poverty and injustice in cooperation with other churches. Our research is focused on all issues related to ministry and witness as well as the bigger issues that confront church and society.
THE UNIT FOR RELIGION AND DEVELOPMENT RESEARCH (URDR)

The URDR is also based in the Department of Practical Theology and Missiology. The research concentrates on religious-demographical data obtained from the population censuses, church / denominational membership data, and market research that apply to religious communities.
