AE antoninianus, Pius Esuvius Tetricus II, AD 273 - 274 |
In AD 273 Caius Pius Esuvius Tetricus II, was appointed Caesar by his father, Tetricus I. Antoniniani of Tetricus II initially displayed C PIVS ESV TETRICVS CAES on the obverse, subsequent issues show a shortened title C P E TETRICVS CAES with common reverse types depicting either Pietas or sacrificial implements.
