Revised Nomenclature and Symbolism
for Metabolic Control Analysis
At the 1996 BioThermoKinetics meeting in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, a proposal by Jannie Hofmeyr and Johann Rohwer for a revised nomenclature and symbolism for metabolic control analysis was discussed. The original draft document was then amended to include the points raised during that discussion. The proposal was discussed again at the 1998 BioThermoKinetics Meeting in Göteborg, Sweden, resulting in this final document. In total, comments from more than 20 scientists working in the MCA community were incorporated!
