BACHELOR OF CONSUMER SCIENCE (FOODS) 

The Bachelor of Consumer Science (Foods) programme is aimed at students who are creative and have a general interest in Foods and Nutrition. The programme focuses on food service management, community nutrition and entrepreneurial skills and include subjects in the Natural as well as the Economic and Management Sciences. 
You will gain knowledge, insight and skills in the basic aspects of food processing, and will be introduced to the basic nutritional needs of consumers. Furthermore, you will get the opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills to enable you to start and manage your own business.

Career opportunities in the food industry include food service managers, community developers and entrepreneurs in the food industry. 

This professional four year programme will give you the opportunity to enrol for a Master’s degree in Foods.
