The BSc in Consumer Science (Foods) programme has a strong theoretical base in the Natural Sciences. It is a four year programme during which the student specialises in Foods and Nutrition and is trained for various positions in the Food Industry in South Africa. If you have the ability to solve problems or have a strong interest in science and research, you are the ideal candidate for this programme! The programme will expose you to a wide variety of aspects in the food industry. 

Students who obtain the BSc in Consumer Science (Foods) degree are appointed as product developers, quality controllers, food service managers or researchers in the food industry. 
  
This professional four year programme will give you the opportunity to enrol for a MSc degree in Foods.
