STAFF
The Unit for Environmental Ethics provides a framework within which
academics and consultants of the University of Stellenbosch, together
with colleagues and associates from other institutions, including government
and the private sector, collaborate. The Unit, therefore, has no permanent
staff members. Instead, dedicated task teams are formed by the Head
of the Unit in order to fulfil specific functions, as and when it is
required.

Mr Peter Esser
Researcher
Peter Esser comes from a professional background in clinical psychology. He is currently engaged in research toward the M Phil in Environmental Ethics. His interests include environmental cognition and politics, specifically in fields of development and corporate environmental responsibility. Current research, supported by the NRF, is focused on models of sustainability.
