It is our pleasure to invite you to the African Convention of the Global Sustainable Bioenergy Project which will be hosted by the Stellenbosch Lodge Hotel, Stellenbosch, South Africa. This is the second of a series of 5 continental conventions aiming to provide guidance on the feasibility of sustainable bioenergy production on a large scale as well as implementation paths and policies that foster this outcome. WhatLeading experts will present the global and continental issues and discuss the options for sustainability and global challenges for the introduction of bioenergy. Participants are asked to provide their input on a global and African Resolution and on feasibility studies to test the hypothesis that it is physically possible for bioenergy to sustainably meet a substantial fraction of future demand for energy services (≥ 25% of global mobility or equivalent) while feeding humanity and meeting other needs from managed lands, preserving wildlife habitat, and maintaining environmental quality.WhoAll those who are interested and willing to help to realise a sustainable future. We really hope that you will contribute to this ambitious project and that we may welcome you in Stellenbosch! However, note that the convention is intended for active stakeholders and not meant as only a source for acquiring information on bioenergy.More infoPlease see: http://engineering.dartmouth.edu/gsbproject/We will regularly update the website, so please keep looking from time to time!
