Botrytis
genome annotation meeting
Break-away meeting on Thursday October 25
(11h00-15h00)
The annotation of the Botrytis cinerea genome sequence is in
full swing. Symposium participants involved in the annotation process
will get together for a brief jamboree-like session at Stellenbosch
University. Computers will be available, providing opportunity for hands-on
practice and for discussing and resolving problems that individual annotators
may have encountered. By working in small teams, pitfalls and useful
tricks may be uncovered, which will be helpful for the annotators in
future annotation tasks.
Symposium participants who are not involved in the annotation process
have an opportunity to get some understanding of the process and the
various steps undertaken in genome analysis.
Registration for the annotation meeting is required in order to provide
transportation and computer facilities.
The registration fee to attend the Botrytis
genome annotation meeting is R150.00. This will include transport to
the meeting in Stellenbosch and light lunch. Following the meeting,
delegates will join the Official Excursion to the Winelands. Please
refer to the registration
form to register for this meeting.
