The Postgraduate and International Office will then inform you of the logistics.

DAAD Conference: 25 - 29 March in Stellenbosch
From 25 to 29 March, a conference for German and African experts in German Studies took place at the STIAS conference centre in Stellenbosch, South Africa. The conference was entitled “German language and culture in an African context” and was organized by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in cooperation with its advisory council for German Studies and Stellenbosch University. During the three days, about 80 German language and culture experts – teachers and researchers alike – exchanged views and ideas concerning the situation and perspectives of their discipline.

Die Deutschabteilung Stellenbosch zusammen mit der Universiät Leipzig hat 3 Stipendien für den Sommersprachkurs „Sprachen bauen Brücken“ im Juni 2012 zu vergeben. Ein Reisekostenstipendium für die Flugkosten wird vom International Office der Uni Stellenbosch vergeben.

German Section: Presentation of prizes for 2011
Six of our German students were awarded book prizes for their academic achievement in 2011. The books were donated by the Austrian embassy and were handed over by the ambassador Dr. Ditz.
