Jimmie goes gospel for his second CD

Jimmie Earl Perry, Director of Educational Theatre and Creative Arts, is currently recording his second South African CD. The CD primarily focuses on gospel music, which is true to Jimmie’s upbringing, and is being recorded with the Kunjalo Music Ministries Gospel Choir.

Jimmie was born in Alabama and spent his childhood years in New Jersey. His parents were both singers and had a major influence on him. Through them he became involved with the St Paul AME Zion Church, where he was exposed to gospel music played and sung by phenomenal musicians. That was the beginning of his journey into the world of music and show business and the reason why his true passion will remain gospel music.

The Kunjalo Music Ministries Gospel Choir from Cape Town was founded in 2001 and is an affiliate of the Kunjalo Community Worship Centre. The vibrant musical group has been at the forefront of the HIV/AIDS Awareness Campaign and has appeared under the auspices of the internationally acclaimed organisation, One Voice AIDS Awareness Campaign. The Kunjalo Music Ministries Gospel Choir and Jimmie are the perfect combination for a true spiritual performance and the CD promises to be a soulful musical experience.
