|   Mr André Louw
 André                               Louw teaches part-time in the field of labour law                               at Stellenbosch University’s Law Faculty, where                               he is also a senior researcher at the Centre for International                               and Comparative Labour and Social Security Law (CICLASS).                               He has been with the Department of Mercantile Law                               since 2000, before which time he obtained the degrees                               BA LL.B LL.M at Stellenbosch University. He is an                               attorney of the High Court and a conveyancer. Louw                               has been researching his PhD in the area of sports                               law since 2003, which he hopes to complete by the                               end of 2006. His thesis deals with the employment                               of players and athletes in professional team sports                               in South Africa and elsewhere. He is a member of the                               Sports Law Association of South Africa and has been                               a guest presenter in sports law as well as presented                               conference papers within his field of interest. He                               is the co-author of a book on employment equity and                               has published a number of scholarly articles in the                               fields of affirmative action and sports law, in local                               and international law journals. Louw has a specific                               interest in the law relating to the management of                               HIV and AIDS in the workplace, and has been teaching at                               the Africa Centre since 2004. He has also done some                               consulting work in the area of workplace HIV policy                               formulation under the auspices of the Africa Centre.
