Dr Anton Schlechter

Anton Schlechter is a senior lecturer in the Section of Organisational Psychology in the School of Management Studies at the University of Cape Town. Prior to his appointment at UCT in January of 2006, he taught at Stellenbosch University’s Department of Industrial Psychology. His teaching interests include human resource management, change management, organisational behaviour, occupational psychology and ergonomics. His research interests focus on organisational behaviour, and this has resulted in various published articles and papers presented at international conferences. He has also taught courses at the South African College of Applied Psychology. Prior to joining Stellenbosch University, Schlechter worked in the organisational development and training division of Media24. He is a registered industrial psychologist (HPCSA) and chartered human resources practitioner with the South African Board for Personnel Practice (SABPP). He is a Stellenbosch University graduate and holds the following degrees: a B.Sc. in Physiology and Psychology, an Hons B.Sc. in Psychology as well as an Honours, Masters and PhD in Industrial Psychology.
