Derivatives Applet
The Derivatives applet shows the graphs of a function and of its
first derivative. A tangent line is drawn on the graph.
You can control the x-coordinate of the point of tangency by an input box
and a slider. The formula for the derivative function is
displayed (this display can be turned off).
Mouse interaction is active (click, shift-click, click-and-drag, and
right-click-and-drag).
You can enter your own formulas (press Enter or click New Function) and use the gallery of examples in the drop-down menu at the top.
