Registration Information

How to Register (Option 1):

  1. Click on the link "On-line Registration"
  2. Complete the on-line registration form
  3. Press "submit"
  4. Your registration will be forwarded to the Conference Secretary and downloaded directly into the database
  5. You will receive an invoice and invitation letter (if requested in your registration), where after payment must be made either via credit card or bank transfer payment.
  6. Please e-mail (aef2@sun.ac.za) or fax (+27 21 808 4967) your credit card authorization form to the conference secretary
  7. If payment is made via bank transfer, please fax (+27 (21) 808 4967) your confirmation of payment as proof so that the conference secretary can update the database.

Student Fees

If you wish to claim the student fees, please submit a copy of your student identification card or its equivalent and a letter of recommendation by a senior scientist with your conference application. Scientists and students from countries in sub-Saharan Africa may apply for a reduction in registration fees.

Conference Banquet

The Conference Banquet will take place at The Boardwalk International Convention Centre (ICC) on Wednesday evening, 9 September 2015, 19:00 onwards. Cost will be R500 per person. Bookings and payment must be made before 31st of July 2015. Extra Conference Banquet (for spouses) tickets can be purchased at the Registration Desk.

Accommodation

Accommodation is payable directly to the accommodation establishment of your choice and is in addition to registration fees - i.e. accommodation is not included in the above registration fees.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Access to and attendance at the workshop and conference will only be confirmed on receipt of payment.
  2. Payment is due prior to the start of the workshop and conference. In the event of there being a limited number of delegates, preference will be given to persons who have paid their registration in full.
  3. An early bird registration must be paid by the closing date of the early bird time period. Failure to pay the early bird fee by such date will be liable for the full registration fees.
  4. An invoice with the Conference bank details will be sent to you within 48 hours of receipt of your registration.
  5. Receipts will only be issued once proof of payment has been received, and once the payment has cleared and been identified in the Conference bank account.
  6. Proof of payment is to be emailed or faxed to the Conference Secretary, aef2@sun.ac.za / F: +27 21 8084967.
  7. Please ensure that all payments make clear reference to the delegate being paid for, with their unique invoice number (Name, Surname, Invoice number). Failure to do so could result in your payment not being identified in the bank account and therefore not being receipted.
  8. All payment must be made to The Macromolecular Society of South Africa (MSSA).
  9. Registrations are transferable to delegates who have not yet registered.
  10. Delegates attending from countries outside South Africa are requested to make payment in South African Rands (ZAR) and are responsible to cover the full bank charges. The full delegate registration fee amount invoiced must appear in the conference bank account.
  11. Online registration will close 31 July 2015.

Cancellation Policy

  1. On completion of this application you will be liable for the full amount of the registration fees subject to the cancellation conditions below.
  2. All cancellations must be received in writing by the Conference Secretary (aef2@sun.ac.za).
  3. Registrations cancelled more than 60 days before the event will be refunded 80% of the registration fees.
  4. Registrations cancelled less than 60 but more than 30 days before the event will be refunded 50% of the registration fees.
  5. Registrations cancelled less than 30 days before the event will not be eligible for a refund.
  6. All refunds due will only be issued after the Conference.
  7. The Organizing Committee reserved the right to decline a request for a refund.

Special Requests

All reasonable dietary requests will be catered for. Please indicate your preference on the registration form.

Privacy Statement

  1. All information submitted on this website is supplied by you voluntarily.
  2. This information will be used for the following purposes:
    • To process your registration
    • To process anyh other transactions requested by you
    • To inform you of updates
    • To send you relevant information regarding the Conference.
  3. We do not sell, rent or lease our delegate lists to third parties.
  4. Details of delegates could be made available to sponsors for once off use after the Conference.
  5. MSSA shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of delegates.
