The Workshop that precedes the Conference has always been an integral part of the past UNESCO/IUPAC conferences. The workshop offers an excellent opportunity for students (and full delegates) to gain fundamental knowledge on topics that are the focus area of the conference that follows. These lectures are typically presented by leading scientists in their respective fields. In many cases plenary and invited speakers share their knowledge. The lectures presented during the workshop provide a background to the main topics of the conference that follows.

In 2015, the main topics of the conference are (a) Biologically active polymers and polymer systems, (b) Advances in polyolefin research and (c) Rubber devulcanization and recycling. It is anticipated that these topics will be covered in the one-day workshop. Full details about the programme will be made available in due course.

Each participant receives a paper of detailed handouts to be used during the lecture portions of the workshop.
